Domestic Solutions:

Category 7 and Satellite Distribution Project

A new customer to us had pre wired his house with Shielded Nexans Category 7 cable, and required our expertise to finish the installation and bring it into service. So far we have terminated and tested 60 ends of the Category 7 cables, we have also terminated and identified 20 satellite cables, that we have wired back to a new Multi swith distribution amplifier and satellite dish. We have also wired the BT voice services to a patch panel and distributed this through the property. There was also a requirment to install some dedicated electrical circuits to power several UPS and IT cabinets with the property.

Category 5e and Phone Distribution

After moving into a new house that had been pre-wired by the builder, with an assortment of Category 5e cables and telephone wires in no particular order or with no hope of the electrician being able to complete the installation, Nick was put in touch with us by a recommendation. When we arrived on site Nick was unsure of what he had or what was possible, after investigation we found that we could connect 12 category 5e cables to a patch panel giving Nick a structured cabling system he could use for all of his family and business requirements. We also connected the incoming phone lines so they could be connected via the category 5e cabling around the house so he could configure the cabling as he wished.

Flair PLC - Office Structured Cabling Project

Flair PLC ( www.flairplc.co.uk ) have undergone a major office refurbishment in recent months and an integral part of this was the structured cabling. Mr Cable tendered for the works - We were awarded this not just because of our creative design of the structured cabling enabling Flair to start saving money right from the outset, it was also our up front design works, our clear and concise proposal that really gave the customer a sense of what they were purchasing. So far on site for phase 1 we have complete the following

CCFE - Atomic Energy Authority

Fibre optic project at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy - Part of the UK Atomic Energy Authority - This involved Fusion splicing and Fluke Loss testing almost 1000 cores in just less than a week.

Marks and Spencer at The Meadows Camberley - Floorbox Relocation Works

After a number of desk relocations in the Admin areas, the floorboxes in the modular floor required relocation as cables were getting in the way. We relocated 20 floorboxes and re-cut all of the carpet tiles. All works completed out of hours.

Interactive Whiteboard installation - Daneshill School

We recently supplied and installed 3 more interactive whiteboards complete with speakers at the school. This brings the total we have now installed at this site to 10

Cabling and trunking installation - Allen International Design Studio

We have installed at a London design studio who needed to fit in some new desks as part of an office redesign project

Office Underfloor installation - Norwich Union
For one of our IT partners we installed terminated and tested 4000 Category 5e outlets to one of the Norwich Union offices supplying engineering resources and management expertise.
All of this was completed in a construction site environment using materials supplied by our client.

Fibre optic cables for a local school

We were approached by a local school who needed some fibre optic cables to connect 3 building around the campus. The school had already quotes from other companies but none had met the schools expectations with regards to technical know how. We installed OM3 fibre optic cables terminated with LC connectors, we also installed a number of wall mounted IT cabinets, and installed all of the Gigabit fibre optic SFP transceivers.
