OM3 Multimode Fibre Optic Network Cabling Installation
A printing customer of ours in Middlesex, who deals with very large image files, was suffering from extended timescales to transfer data around the factory.
The solution we created was to install high-speed OM3 multimode fibre optic cables between the main comms cabinets on site and provide 10 Gigabit capable network links.
In total, we installed two main cable runs around the factory as well as some Cat 5e cabling for general user access.
The cables we installed are capable of working at speeds of up to 40 Gigabits per second over the 100m distance. If you require speeds beyond this, a single-mode solution would generally be best.
